Phase 1 of the Breakspear Road South closure started at 6am on Saturday 20 July. The site has been secured, and excavation work is now underway. The Community Engagement team were on hand to speak to drivers and have been observing traffic flow through the area over the past week.

  • You can find more details on our drop-ins by clicking here .

We also have a dedicated Breakspear Road South page at www.hs2inhillingdon.co.uk

We recently received a question in via the HS2inHillingdon site on why in Phase 2 of the works (8pm on 16 August to 6am on 31 August) the northbound lane is closed, which is answered below:

“The utilities we are working on are buried beneath the northbound carriageway. However while we work on the northbound carriageway the southbound lane will be open to traffic flowing in both directions, controlled by traffic lights. For more details please see the notification sent to residents by clicking here

This and other community questions are answered in our Breakspear Road South closure Question & Answer document, which you can find by clicking here .
