News on HS2 in Hillingdon

Come and talk to independent charity Groundwork UK about applying to our Community Funds at our upcoming West Ruislip events

We're holding three events for the community to find out more about our updated design and construction of the tunnel portal at West Ruislip as well as our preparation for construction in the area.

At the events, independent charity Groundwork UK will be there to speak to you about our community funds and how you can apply . If you’re thinking of applying to the Community and Environment Fund (CEF) or the Business and Local Economy Fund (BLEF) please come along to get advice and more information.

At the events you will also be able to:

Talk to our team about updated West Ruislip tunnel portal design and see visualisations of the portal structure

Find out more about the tunnel boring machine cable programme

See updates about archaeological works in the area

Get an overview of the planned construction activities until the end of the year

Find out further information about lorry movements and their routes

The events will take place on:

Saturday 21 September, Harefield Community Centre, between 11am and 2pm

Monday 23 September, The Barn Hotel, between 4pm and 7pm

Wednesday 25 September, Ickenham United Reformed Church, between 4pm and 7pm

Our regular community drop-in planned for Harefield Library on 20 September will now be cancelled as the community event, where you can speak to the HS2 team, will be held the following day.
