News on HS2 in Hillingdon

Please be advised that on the 4 December fencing was installed on an area of land to the south of Harefield Moor by our Enabling Works Contractor; Fusion JV (please see map below). This fencing is in advance of works that are taking place to construct new habitat creation areas. Unfortunately, we did not notify residents in advance about the installation of this fencing. In addition, part of this fencing infringed on the U34 bridleway, causing a partial obstruction.

We have been working with our contractor and the London Borough of Hillingdon to rectify this situation and as an outcome of this work we have relocated the fencing to ensure access to the bridleway. In addition, we will be providing advanced notice to residents in the New Year when works to construct these habitat creation commences.

HS2 and our contractor Fusion JV would like to apologise to residents for not providing advanced works notification for these works and for the partial obstruction to the bridleway.
