HS2 Works Notice: Daytime lane closure on Harvil Road 25 & 26 June, overnight railway works by Harvil Road 13 July

We are working closely with our construction partners to review the works on all our construction sites in line with Government and Public Health England (PHE) advice on dealing with Covid-19. The Government’s current Covid-19 strategy makes clear that construction activity can continue as long as it complies with this guidance, which you can see by clicking here .

The below works are going ahead as our contractors are confident that they can operate in line with PHE and industry guidance, protecting our staff and the communities in which they are working.

Harvil Road, daytime lane closure 25 and 26 June

We are carrying out a CCTV survey on the drains under a section of Harvil Road near Harvil Farm, to check upon the condition of the sewer on the 25 and 26 June. A temporary single lane closure will be in place for a very short period to protect staff carrying out the surveys. You will still be able to travel through the area but may be asked to wait for a short time. For more information please see the works notice by clicking here .

Overnight works, Chiltern Line near Harvil Road, early morning 13 July

We will be placing some battery powered monitoring equipment onto sleepers as well as solar powered monitoring equipment on short poles which will monitor to ensure our construction works do not affect the railway. The work will take place during a period where the Chiltern Line has no trains running for the safety of the operatives and rail users. The overnight work will be undertaken using hand tools so the noise from the works will be minimal. For more information including hours of work and a map, please see the works notification by clicking here .
