News on HS2 in Hillingdon

National Grid is required to modify an overhead power line in the Colne Valley area to allow for the build and operation of the new HS2 railway.

To achieve safety clearance between the power lines and the new railway, we’ll remove five pylons and divert a section of overhead line onto six new, taller pylons. This work takes place near Buckinghamshire Golf Club in Denham, across the Chiltern railway and Grand Union Canal, over Skip Lane and Dews Lane to near the Harefield Waste and Recycling Centre.

These works will not affect local electricity supplies.
