News on HS2 in Hillingdon

From September we will start load test pile investigations to the west of Harvil Road, near the existing Cadent Gas site. Test pile investigations are used to determine the load bearing capacity of deep foundations and will allow us to validate our design and construction methodology for the Colne Valley Viaduct .

Fencing will be erected around the site ahead of the creation of a site compound including welfare facilities. There will be a small increase in the number of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) on Harvil Road. Public footpath U34 will be closed ahead of these works (please see our earlier works notification about this by clicking here ).
