HS2 Works Update: New works and works restarting in Hillingdon

We are working closely with our construction partners to review the works on all our construction sites in line with Government and Public Health England (PHE) advice on dealing with Covid-19. The Government’s current Covid-19 strategy makes clear that construction activity can continue as long as it complies with this guidance, which you can see by clicking here .

The below works are going ahead as our contractors are confident that they can operate in line with PHE and industry guidance, protecting our staff and the communities in which they are working.

Work on A412 and Moorhall Road

HS2 will be restarting a range of works just outside the London Borough of Hillingdon, including a temporary off-peak lane closure on the A412, near the Denham Water-Ski Club entrance. This is to allow for site set-up, archaeological and ecological works to take place including around Broadwater Lake. We will also be undertaking some work along Moorhall Road. For more information including maps, please see an updated version of the notification sent to residents by clicking here .

Dews Lane and Harvil Road area

Works have restarted at the compound to the west of Harvil Road and South of Dews Lane. For more information on the ground investigation works taking place in this area, please see the original notification that was sent to residents by clicking here .

HS2 Land from Ruislip Golf Course to Breakspear Road South and Harvil Road

The U42 Bridleway diversion at Breakspear Road South is now open for public use.

Ongoing ecology checks at our site to the west of Breakspear Road South by the MSD site.

Overnight works on the Chiltern lines in South Ruislip

We will be placing some monitoring equipment along the Chiltern Line and Central Line railways to ensure our construction does not impact on the lines. As all the equipment is self-powered there will be no need for any wires or cables to be placed in the area.

Works will comply with all safety rules with regard to working within the rail and tube environment. This being the case the work will take place from 00:01 to 08:00 in the early morning of Sunday 3 May. We will only use hand tools to reduce any noise impact. For more information including a map of the worksite, please see the notification sent to residents by clicking here .
