News on HS2 in Hillingdon

To allow for the construction of the HS2 line, Affinity Water will be diverting a water pipeline. The work will take place in fields around Breakspear Road South and will last until August 2019. However, as part of the work Affinity Water will need to completely close Breakspear Road South for three weeks between the Chiltern Line railway bridge to the junction of Copthall Road West between 21 July and 11 August .

Affinity Water will use that time to dig trenches and lay the pipeline across the road. HS2 and Affinity Water have worked closely with London Borough of Hillingdon and have put into place a comprehensive road diversion system in Ickenham and Ruislip as well as Harefield.
