Information about HS2 construction works during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic

HS2 takes seriously its role in being a good neighbour every single day. The health, safety and wellbeing of the communities along the route of the new railway, and our staff, remains our top priority.

We are continually reviewing the works on our construction sites in line with Government and Public Health England (PHE) advice on dealing with COVID-19. The Government’s current strategy makes it clear that construction activity can continue as long as it complies with this guidance. Please be assured that only sites that can operate within the guidelines are operational. All sites will remain under constant review.

Tunnel boring machine power supply works by UK Power Networks

UK Power Networks will be digging trenches and laying ducts that will hold the tunnel boring machine power cable from the 18 May 2020.
